Street Art, Jefferson City, Missouri
In August, 2008, I was out in Jefferson City, Missouri, where I painted a
huge mural inside the now defunct Missouri State Penitentiary.
Curated by artist Paul Notzold (txtual healing) and Carla Steck, works were
site specific at the Contemporary Art Museum as well as the abandoned prison.
Besides myself and Paul, some of the artists included were Leon Reid, Mark Jenkins,
Depoe, Peat Wollaeger, and Jesus Saves. It was a seriously good time, however,
since the installations happened, the historical society retracted their permission
for the work's installation and sand blasted all the work off the walls....
what a bunch of tools.
