Street Art, St. Remy de Provence, France, 2010
In July, 2010, my daughter, Marianna, my mom, and I went to Provence. I was invited
to take part in the Festival D'Art Contemporain and while there, did street projects
in St. Remy de Provence, Les Baux, and Tarascon.
I was fortunate to have the mayor of St. Remy give me full permission to paste anywhere I pleased,
so I took the opportunity to have Marianna join me on a street mission. She was six years old at the time
and equipped with a broom, she and I left our apartment at eleven pm one night for a walk around the town.
We pasted for over an hour. I gave her some tips and she assisted me in selecting where to paste, what colors to use,
and applying the glue! It was an absolute dream come true for me, as I've always wanted her join me pasting,
but because of obvious police issues, we were never able to do it... until St. Remy. Many thanks to Leila and the mayor
for helping to give me my all-time favorite street art experience... it was pure magic.
